Statement

I have studied art and art history since the age of 12 in art school, then in university. Art came into my life since early childhood, and I can not imagine my life without art. Also, I am interested in eastern philosophy and eastern religions. Zen Buddhism has made an influence on my creative work. Mysticism, dreams, and meditation also influence the content and the topics of my paintings. Real life and my emotional state, my views naturally manifest themselves in my work. But often, the creative process lets me leave the real world for another one, a world of fantasy and a completely different state of meditation. I feel freedom, which is not sufficient in real world.

SIREN Baroque kicks off its third season with Fyer, Fyer!, the first of four concerts exploring the ancient elements, in a special collaboration with the innovative baroque dancers Laura Careless and Marisol Cabrera. The program features blazingly passionate works by Morley, Monteverdi, Rebel, Scarlatti, and Handel, all of which use fire as a metaphor for nature’s wrath, spiritual zeal, lustful ardor, or the terrors of hell. With SIREN Baroque’s “impassioned performances” (Early Music America) accompanied by strikingly seductive choreography, it promises to be an evening to ignite the senses.
