Biography

Susanne Veder Berger is an author, educator, business executive and mother, who currently lives' on New York City's Upper West Side.

Susanne has held a variety of executive positions in the field of marketing for CitiGroup, the U.S. Tennis Association and a number of other companies and organizations. Over the past 3 years, Susanne has been working with inner city high school students in Brooklyn, New York helping them develop self-esteem, prepare for college and secure internships –

Susanne Veder Berger's work in education is centered around the implementation of extra curricular activities and the development of student-run journalism programs. With the support of Medgar Evers' Prep for Success Team, Susanne is currently working at NYC's FDNY High School in East New York, Brooklyn. At FDNY, Susanne is working towards the establishment of an internship program, as well as, a student driven blog/web-based magazine for teenagers.

SIREN Baroque kicks off its third season with Fyer, Fyer!, the first of four concerts exploring the ancient elements, in a special collaboration with the innovative baroque dancers Laura Careless and Marisol Cabrera. The program features blazingly passionate works by Morley, Monteverdi, Rebel, Scarlatti, and Handel, all of which use fire as a metaphor for nature’s wrath, spiritual zeal, lustful ardor, or the terrors of hell. With SIREN Baroque’s “impassioned performances” (Early Music America) accompanied by strikingly seductive choreography, it promises to be an evening to ignite the senses.
