    Statement

I am a self-taught mosaic artist and have been doing mosaics for almost eight years. My motivation for making mosaics comes from seeing fascinating mosaics during my travels to Europe and other parts of the world. I am influenced by my faith, my relationships, and my cultural heritage of India, my interest in teaching and learning, love for music, dance and photography.
I have an immense desire to connect with people. Through the use of vivacious colors and motion in my pictures I want to convey a sense of positive energy between my audience and I. I want my mosaics to tell a story, or capture a relationship, or just simply seize a beautiful moment.
I make liberal use of vibrant colors and texture to capture the emotions of life being lived in dancers, in nature, in floral designs and in timeless themes. My hope is that as you experience images in my gallery, it may help you see life a little more beautiful and enlightening.

SIREN Baroque kicks off its third season with Fyer, Fyer!, the first of four concerts exploring the ancient elements, in a special collaboration with the innovative baroque dancers Laura Careless and Marisol Cabrera. The program features blazingly passionate works by Morley, Monteverdi, Rebel, Scarlatti, and Handel, all of which use fire as a metaphor for nature’s wrath, spiritual zeal, lustful ardor, or the terrors of hell. With SIREN Baroque’s “impassioned performances” (Early Music America) accompanied by strikingly seductive choreography, it promises to be an evening to ignite the senses.
